The rules

Terms of Use

The conditions you accept by using SetupFind. Short version: the guides are research and opinion, prices are dated snapshots, and you are responsible for checking anything before you spend money on it.

Agreement

By accessing SetupFind you agree to these terms. If you do not accept them, please stop using the site. We may update these terms; continued use after a change means you accept the revised version, and the date at the top of this page tells you when it last moved.

What this site is, and is not

SetupFind publishes buying guides, gear research and setup advice. It is editorial content and opinion. It is not professional advice, and specifically it is not electrical, structural, health, safety, financial or legal advice. Equipment choices, room modifications, wall fixings, electrical loads and hearing exposure are your responsibility, and where a decision carries real risk you should consult a qualified professional.

Prices, specifications and availability

Every price we publish is sourced from a live retailer listing and carries the date it was checked. Prices, exchange rates, specifications, stock levels and product revisions change without notice. Currency conversions shown alongside a source price are indicative planning figures, not local retail prices. Always confirm the current price, specification and availability with the retailer before buying.

Affiliate links

Some outbound product links earn us a commission at no extra cost to you. This is set out in full on our Affiliate Disclosure page, which forms part of these terms.

Third-party sites

We link to retailers, manufacturers, regulators and research sources. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, their pricing, their availability, their delivery, their warranty handling or their privacy practices. Any transaction you enter into with a retailer is between you and that retailer.

Intellectual property

The text, layout, original photography, data tables and design of SetupFind belong to us and are protected by copyright. You are welcome to quote a short extract with clear attribution and a link back to the page it came from. Republishing whole guides, scraping the site to train or populate another product, or reproducing our comparison tables as your own is not permitted without written consent. Product names, logos and trade marks belong to their respective owners and are used for identification only.

Acceptable use

  • Do not attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its hosting or its accounts.
  • Do not attack the site, including by denial of service, or introduce malicious code.
  • Do not use automated tools in a way that degrades the site for other readers.
  • Do not use the site for anything unlawful, or in a way that infringes anyone else's rights.

Accuracy and corrections

We research carefully and we date what we publish, but we do not guarantee that everything on the site is complete, current or free of error. Where we get something wrong we correct it and note the change. If you spot a mistake, please tell us. That is genuinely the fastest way to improve the site.

Availability

We do not promise that the site will be available without interruption. Access may be suspended for maintenance, or withdrawn, at any time.

Limitation of liability

The site is provided on an "as is" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, the site or its content, including purchasing decisions, wasted expenditure, loss of data or damage to equipment. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Nothing here affects your statutory consumer rights against the retailers you buy from.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Northern Ireland, and the courts of Northern Ireland have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, this does not remove the protection of any mandatory consumer law of the country you live in.
